It has been pointed out that the Gates Foundation was not completely absent from the Forum since “The Gates Foundation is kindly sponsoring 60 participants from developing countries to attend the 2008 Global Ministerial Forum, as well as supporting communications, ensuring that the messages from the conference are well publicized”.
